Booking and Payments

Booking Process

When you book a sailing experience:

A deposit is required to secure your booking
Full payment is typically due 30 days before departure
We accept major credit cards and bank transfers
All prices are quoted in the currency specified
Group bookings may have different payment terms

Pricing and Fees

Our pricing structure includes:

Base trip price covers sailing, instruction, and basic equipment
Additional fees may apply for special equipment or services
Prices may vary based on season, group size, and trip duration
All applicable taxes are included unless otherwise stated

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Participants

If you need to cancel your booking:

More than 60 days: Full refund minus processing fee
30-60 days: 75% refund
14-30 days: 50% refund
7-14 days: 25% refund
Less than 7 days: No refund unless trip is cancelled by us

Cancellation by Groovy Sailors

We may cancel trips due to:

Severe weather conditions or safety concerns
Insufficient bookings (minimum participant requirements)
Equipment failure or maintenance issues
Government restrictions or regulations
In such cases, you will receive a full refund or rebooking option

Safety and Liability

Safety Requirements

For everyone's safety:

All participants must follow captain and crew instructions
Life jackets must be worn when required
Alcohol consumption is regulated and may be prohibited
Participants must disclose relevant medical conditions
Swimming ability may be required for certain activities

Limitation of Liability

Please understand that:

Sailing involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated
Participants assume responsibility for their own safety
Groovy Sailors maintains comprehensive insurance coverage
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
We strongly recommend travel insurance for all participants

Participant Conduct

Treat crew members and other guests with respect
Follow all safety instructions and vessel rules

Arrive punctually for departures and activities

Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are not permitted:

Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
Excessive alcohol consumption or illegal drug use
Damage to vessel, equipment, or facilities
Interference with vessel operations or safety procedures
Smoking in non-designated areas
